Homework is to study for the quiz on Monday! Use the study guide posted below, use the kahoot we played in class, and USE EACH OTHER. Your peers are your best resource--quiz each other, make a quizlet, review over the phone--use any and all strategies we discussed in class today! ALSO--LOTS of people did not do the homework on Hammond's "Mudsill Theory." If you're missing that, complete it for Monday!

For the past two shortened periods, we've watched a documentary on William Still (available at link below). As you have watched, you should have been completing the guided viewing questions posted below. I will be collecting that viewing guide on Tuesday. You are expected to have responses to the questions on the first part of the documentary, but I am offering extra credit for students who finish watching the documentary over the weekend and complete the entire viewing guide. http://www.pbs.org/video/2181724307/ Homework is to read this excerpt from Frederick Douglass's autobiography and respond to the two questions at the end. Each question should be a short paragraph (at least 4 sentences) that makes use of at least one quote from the text. No homework tonight, but here are the files for the Nat Turner lesson we are working on. Finished analysis questions will likely be due Wednesday start of class.
HW: Read the short article below and respond to the following prompt, citing one quote from the text: "How did the cotton gin change southern slavery?" If you were absent yesterday, I was too! Classwork from Monday was to read pgs. 251-256 in the textbook and answer questions 1-4 on pg. 256
Exam tomorrow! You can use this kahoot to study. Refer to your study guide (also posted below) for all important topics. Good luck! If you've been studying, you'll do fine! |
