Today In Class: We discussed the status of the SEPTA strike and had a short lesson on the causes and effects of the French & Indian War. Click here for slides from today's lesson. Homework: Road to Revolution Timeline (Due Friday 11/4 or your first day back) Complete the timeline below using the slides and your textbook, pgs. 119-127 (accessible via schoolnet). Use the final three effects listed on the slide "French and Indian War: Results" to complete the section for 1763. For each of the remaining events, read the corresponding section in the textbook and summarize the event on the timeline. As you're reading, consider how each event leads to the next, and how they would all push the colonies toward revolution.
Everybody stay safe during the strike and make sure you don't fall behind on your work. Fortunately, I doubt this strike will be as tumultuous as some of the 19th Century strikes we'll be covering in a few months. Check out this interesting video of a strike that turned into a miniature battle in Homestead, Pennsylvania in 1892. PS: Shout outs to everyone who was proactive and emailed me in regarding their absence. However, the old "ask a question in the subject line and leave the email empty" isn't a great look.
